Hopkins + Baumann Loft; The Whiteney Landmark building
A 2008 AIA Minnesota Honor Award Winner, this renovation by Alchemy Architects transformed the basement of a 19th century flour mill into a 2,600 sq. ft., light-filled loft. Floor Technologies poured WearTop for the finished floor throughout the loft. See photos and read the complete story.
Eitel Apartments
Anchored by a 1911 hospital building, the 212-unit Eitel Apartments utilized historic-preservation credits that called for a clear separation of old and new construction. The site was designed as a collection of buildings, rather than one large development. Acousti-Mat II and Gyp-Crete 2000/3.2K was used in this renovation. Learn more about the entire project here.
Harbor City International School
This charter school occupies the third and fourth floors of an 1894 warehouse. WearTop was pouredas the finished floor in the theater space. According to architect William Scalzo, they wanted "an evolution of what we'd done before in the building. The guiding spirit was to keep it kind of raw, with simple, durable finishes."
